CAMPING LE SERPOLIN

Once a working cattle farmstead, the 12 acres of grounds set in tranquil countryside are used for camping, caravanning and motorhoming. With 16 large pitches (15m long), including 6 serviced pitches and 2 hardstanding, we are also able to take twin axles. ​and you can rent out our Compass caravan that sleeps 4 people (2 adults and 2 children).

The communal BBQ and Fish & Chip nights really helps everyone to get together and it is a super evening enjoyed by all.

The spacious 3 bedroom 3*** Gite, offers its own large terrace, with the view to the pool and beaufiul landscape. It comfortably sleeps six people, with a large lounge/diner and modern kitchen. For availability and more info please click here

Our Campsite
The spacious grounds in the countryside and off the main road gives children the freedom they crave and the peace and quiet the grown ups deserve.
​
The new large in ground heated pool (10x5m, 1.5m deep) is free of charge to all our guests and is great for the whole family (open May to September, weather dependant). You can sit and relax whilst the children are playing in the play area, playing football or playing with the large garden versions of Jenga, draughts and chess along with some more traditional games and puzzles. The whole family could even enjoy a good game of boules on our Petanque court.

Next to the camping field is the large pond stocked with plenty of Carp, which is ideal for fun and for children (accompanied by an adult) to practise their fishing skills, as they will be guaranteed a catch of up to 10lb! It is also a wonderful place to sit, relax and watch much of the abundant wildlife which is commonplace. Arrangements can be made for fishing permits to the larger local lakes.

There is a separated men's & ladies shower & toilet block with free hot water, toilet paper, hand soap and the use of soft laundered hand towels. There is also an undercover wash house for washing up your pots and pans and a small library with various of books to read and swap. Make use of the small convenience shop, where you can buy ice cream at cheap prices and convenient items..

A washer/dryer is also available in the main house for a small fee.

BBQs can be used on your own pitch, providing care is taken not to scorch the grass. There is also the communal BBQ area, which is a great place for you to eat and sit in the shade.
Where are we?
THE ANJOU REGION
Camping Le Serpolin is situated in a quiet little hamlet nestled in the tranquil French countryside and surrounded with the Anjou Vineyards. The beautiful nearby towns of Saumur, Angers, Cholet, Doue La Fontaine, Thouars, just to say a few, are fabulous places to visit with lots to see and do.
​
In the middle of the Anjou wine region, there are many vineyards and wineries open for tours and tastings. DON'T MISS OUT ON OUR LOCAL FREE WINE TOUR, where you see from the vines to the bottle, followed by tasting 14 different wines, including the Sparkling Red!
​​
For the energetic, we are situated perfectly for walks and cycle rides around the Anjou Vineyards and due to the flat and quiet roads, you can go as long or as short a journey as you wish.
​​
​There are plenty of other options such as horseriding, swimming, karting, canoeing, golf etc to keep you going. The nearby towns have great chateaux, Troglodytes & Sarcophages, museums, gardens/parks, theme parks, restaurants, shops and much more...….

The nearest villages of Nueil-Sur-Layon (5kms), Vihiers (9kms) & Doue La Fontaine (20kms) offers post offices, boulangeries, banks, supermarkets, tabac/bars and restaurants

About Us at Camping Le Serpolin
We had the pleasure of acquiring Camping Le Serpolin in October 2016 to escape the stressful working/home life we became accustomed to in the UK and hope the new lifestyle will benefit us all in more ways than one!
​
The Goddard family consists of, Matt (Dad), Donna-Marie (Mum), Lillie-Mae (14) and Corey (9). We have two cats and some hens, which lay fresh eggs every day We also brought along with us, Mother (Pat) and partner (Brian), who also live on site.
​​
We are not just campsite owners, we had enjoyed the camping life for many years, We had holidayed in both motorhomes and caravans, so are quite experienced campers. Being fed up of working busy lives, we thought, why not live the dream in a sunnier climate like France, so we did!
​
